More Easj on this eady from Megapixel. Quite compact in light of the large lens, the DX has an overall body design similar to a number of other long-zoom digicams on the market, with a generous handgrip on the right-hand side, balancing the large lens on the left.
However, the flash is blocked by the lens when shooting up close. While foot-candles and lux are a standard scientific measurement of light intensity, photographers are used to thinking in terms of f-stops, ISO, and shutter speeds in seconds.
The shadow area of the charcoal briquettes shows good detail, with moderate noise. Other specifications on this Kodak camera include a built in flash with auto and off mode, an internal memory of 32MB, and a flash SD memory card slot.

The result was very pleasing though, as the DX's flash is color-balanced to match incandescent room lighting, and the excellent auto white balance system handles the combination beautifully. The Daylight setting produced very good results, though with a stronger warm cast.

Good intensity and coverage with the built-in flash, good color as well. Specifically, two series of 8MP images. The blue flowers in the bouquet are a little darker than in real life, but color overall is really excellent.
In my testing, the DX's flash d6x490 the test target all the way out to 14 feet, without any significant decrease in intensity.
Is it enough of a refresh to keep up with the times? It's been churning around the rumor mills for some time now, but Nikon Japan has confirmed the D and D have been discontinued.
