If you are looking for solid, steady dependability without fancy glitz, then the Dell N is definitely the machine for you. Since it's a postscript-capable printer it's easy enough to just use a generic driver, but you don't get all the printer-specific features without the correct PPD file. I can use it with any of my systems, be they the linux boxes or the Windows boxes, without problems.

I've tried these 3 things but none of them work. My only other complaint, and this is a very minor issue, is that the printer has a little 1-second spasm every minutes, 24 hours a day.

This printer is awesome. I included it only because the Lexmark site doesn't look very straightforward as far prknter which files you need. All in all I love this printer and after a week I am wondering how I lived without it for so long.
